Hand woven by skilled artisans on a loom, just like it was done hundreds of years ago. Since it's origin in Aubusson, France over 300 years ago, the Aubusson style of tapestry weave (a flat weave) has enjoyed the reputation of producing a very expensive luxury item with a high perceived value amongst knowledgable customers.

Aubussons are hand dyed and hand woven products of 100% pure wool or silk. Variations in color, tone and weave (such as slubs and small gaps in the weave) are part of the character of this product and should not be considered defects. Due to color variations within printed and online photos, and different dye lots for each item, we cannot guarantee the color to be exactly the same as appears online.
